A resource that provides expanded knowledge organisers/ on a page summaries that can be used to support in a number of ways. This includes potentially using the resource to:
Support in the lesson

Supporting students who have missed lessons
There are two different topics included:
States of matter (solids, liquids and gases)
Changing states
For each one, there is key knowledge, key vocabulary and models and diagrams included, alongside potential misconceptions. Both topics are included in a colour and a black and white version to support with potential printing issues, as well as having UK and US English spellings.
Five pages of worksheets that can be used when teaching Year 6 Evolution and Inheritance.
The worksheets focus on inherited characteristics with an activity that focuses on sliding scales to decide whether it it inherited or acquired or whether it may fall somewhere inbetween such as hair colour.
There are then questions getting pupils to consider why hair and eye colour can be inherited or acquired.
The final worksheets focus on family trees and looking at what a child has inherited from different people in the family, considering the roles different people in the family may play including grandparents.
All the sheets can also provide rich discussion as a class in considering different elements of inheritance.
A mixed reading comprehension bundle that has a range of reading comprehensions that work on building understanding/ improving knowledge about particular facts.
A fact file about Dian Fossey that is also a reading comprehension. This includes three differentiated worksheets with 10 questions each and answers included to test children's comprehension knowledge as well as learning about Dian Fossey at the same time.
A template that is fully-hyperlinked and ready to use as a tool for assessing children's knowledge about any topic you are doing in a fun way. Simply insert the questions and answers where you wish, with it being highlighted which answer hyperlinks to the correct place.
A lesson aimed at the Year 3 Science unit of Animals including Humans. This lesson is the first lesson of a sequence, looking at the different food groups. The lesson presentation includes key vocabulary and discussion around why we eat, as well as looking the Eatwell plate and the different food groups within this.
This is then followed by an independent activity that requires children to label an Eatwell plate and consider foods for each group. This is then followed by a challenge question to provide the chance to reason. An answer sheet and support sheet are also included.
Alongside this is a second version of the lesson aimed at any groups who may be working at a lower level. The aim of the lesson is the same and there is a presentation, activity with answers and support sheet at a more appropriate level.

These can be used for a number of purposes, including showing examples of how information texts can be organised differently and how they can include different information, used for learning about plants and flowers or used as part of general reading lessons.

This includes a recap on the system of classification before then looking at the different groups within class. Children will then work through an activity that requires them to match up statements to the correct class before considering animals that fit in the different classes.

The investigation focuses on whether the type of spaghetti used makes a difference to the solidity of the structure with the lesson slides looking at example structures and how children will want to build them before getting them to focus on the different elements of the scientific investigation.
Also included is an investigation mat to help children with their written work.

The second lesson of a sequence for light in Year 6. Initially, children will spend time recapping what they can remember from the previous lesson, including an activity where they have to identify light sources, before then moving on to considering how light travels. Children will create a diagram of how light travels based on the model they have seen and videos before labelling an eye to describe how we are able to see from the travelling of light into the eye. The lesson the ends with a quick mini-quiz.
The third lesson of a sequence for light in Year 6. Initially, children will spend time recapping what they can remember from the previous lesson before working on creating an investigation that focuses on how shadows change. Included to support them with their write up is an investigation mat.
The fifth lesson of a sequence for light in Year 6. Initially, the focus of this lesson is reflection, recapping learning from the previous lesson. The lesson then moves on to focussing on refraction with children completing activities off the PowerPoint, the print out activity and watching a video to then further develop their understanding.
